Q & A with Jaime

What do you love about your work?

Being able to be part of someone’s special event and tailoring each ceremony to that or those particular people. No two ceremonies are ever the same and I love adding the personal touch. At a wedding ceremony I love seeing the grooms face as he turns round to greet his bride.

What is your favourite wedding?

How can I answer this? I have many a favourite wedding but the one that particularly sticks out is where a whole group dressed up as the cast of Batman and the groom waddled down the aisle dressed as The Penguin!

What is your most loved wedding reading?

The lovely classic …..

On Your Wedding Day

Today is a day you will always remember
The greatest in anyone’s life
You’ll start off the day just two people in love
And end it as Husband and Wife

It’s a brand new beginning the start of a journey
With moments to cherish and treasure
And although there’ll be time when you both disagree
These will surely be outweighed by pleasure

You’ll have heard many words of advice in the past
When the secrets of marriage were spoken
But you know that the answers lie hidden inside
Where the bond of tru love lies unbroken

So live happy forever as lovers and friends
It’s the dawn of a new life for you
As you stand there together with love in your eyes
From the moment you whisper ‘I do’

And with luck, all your hopes, and your dreams can be real
May success find its way to your hearts
Tomorrow can bring you the greatest of joys
But today is the day it all starts.

What music do you love for the couples exit?

It all depends on the nature of the ceremony, but I really like Etta James ‘At Last’.

What is the best thing about what you do?

I feel very humbled and privileged to be-able to take part in someone’s very special day and always give it my very best to make sure the ceremony is extremely personable.  I like that I get to meet people from all different backgrounds and religions.  The job is so varied from people to venues so no two days are the same at work!
